Located in Chittagong, Bangladesh’s second largest city and thriving seaport and financial centre.
Marapco was approached by the administrators of the world-class Belle Vue Hospital; requiring an emergency electrical failsafe system. The emergency solution provided by Marapco will be responsible for running all critical hospital functions and allowing the continuous treatment of patients in the event of a power failure.
Besides providing enough power to run critical systems, another requirement of Belle Vue hospital was a generator set capable of running up to 500 hours a year. In meeting these requirements, Marapco provided 3x MP880E generator sets; each 880 kVA and equipped with 4008-30TAG3 Perkins engines. Perkins being the engine of choice based on their competitive pricing and after-sales support. Each generator is housed in their own bespoke containers for ease of transportation and installation.
Completed in January 2020, the installation and commissioning was achieved by Technohaven Power; a regional Marapco partner. Marapco itself was on hand to provide technical support in ensuring proper and efficient installation.
