What is ‘Prime’ power?

Prime power ratings are applicable for supplying continuous electrical power (at variable load) in the event of a utility power failure. No overload is permitted on these ratings. The alternator model is peak continuous rated (as defined in ISO 8528-3).

What is ‘Standby’ power?

Standby rated generators are applicable for supplying continuous electrical power (at variable load) in lieu of commercially purchased power. This model can supply 10% overload power for 1 hour in 12 hours.

What type of Lubrication Oil should I use in the engine of my Marapco generator?

All engine oil used in a Marapco genset must conform to the manufactures specification.  This information can be found in the users hand book that is supplied with every Marapco genset.  If you do not have access to this hand book please contact your local dealer or Marapco Ltd for the correct information.
